Morgan Proffitt, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for pediatric care. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University.
Prior to her current role, Morgan gained extensive experience working with children and adolescents as a registered nurse. Her work included crisis care in WakeMed's Pediatric Psychiatric Emergency Department, as well as outpatient pediatric care.
Morgan is dedicated to helping children and teens navigate both expected and unexpected challenges while celebrating what makes each of them unique. She believes that building trust with young patients and their families is central to effective care.
Morgan strives to create a supportive space where children, teens, and families feel truly heard. Her approach emphasizes trust, collaboration, and individualized care that supports each patient's emotional well-being and growth.
Outside of work, Morgan enjoys reading, spending time with her pets, and, when she is feeling adventurous, rock climbing.
